

With typical attention to detail, designer Mary Douglas Drysdale uses hand painted techniques throughout the home. Not only does this give the eye a visual treat in every room, but it also creates a truly personal home.
This tiny abode is in the historic area of Georgetown and the homes are dainty. The designer maximized every square inch of the house with super functional pieces that are also beautiful and meaningful, that includes the painted finishes. The wall pattern in the master bedroom was inspired by a dresser originally painted by the homeowner’s grandfather. We took the sweet rose motif and painted it on the walls to make for a comforting retreat. Don’t you love it!
