Scarecrow Contest Details
Calling all Esworthy Road neighbors! Let’s celebrate fall with a neighborhood scarecrow contest! This is a family friendly event meant purely for entertainment. If you’d like to enter, great! And if you’d rather just enjoy the fun, that’s great too. There’s no charge to participate. Anyone on Esworthy Road is welcome to play along!
Now, it’s not a real contest if there isn’t a prize, right? Billet Collins will tally all the votes and donate $75 to the best scarecrow! Everyone is asked to vote for your favorite online. Read on to find out how.
It’s easy to participate in the scarecrow contest. Create a scarecrow of your choice using whatever materials you have. Please keep your creation family friendly. Place your masterpiece near your entrance so neighbors can see him/her/them. Remember, do not block your mailbox or the road. Scarecrows should be in place by the October 24th.
And if you want to play along but don’t want to make a scarecrow, just go get one at Michael’s or the grocery store! It’s all in good fun and the more people that play along, the more fun it will be to drive down Esworthy Road! If you need inspiration, scroll down to last year’s creations.

Why are we doing this? Billet Collins is a decorative painting studio located on the corner of Esworthy and Seneca roads. Our family moved here in 1987 and started the studio in 1995 and I thought it might be fun to bring the whole neighborhood together for some fun shenanigans! Here’s a little bit about Billet Collins Studio.
