We all have them, those outlet plates that stand out against a wall color or stone backsplash. Maybe it doesn’t bother you, but those white plastic outlet covers just draw my eye like a magnet! The perfect finish on outlet covers, vents, even furniture, can take a room from “nice” to “designer”. Details count.

Custom colors were mixed for this tiled backsplash, and the style of painting was matched to blend the outlet covers right into the tile. In this type of installation we seal the outlets to make them super durable.

A beautiful stone backsplash should not be marred by those plastic outlet covers! These were painted in the same colors as the stone and patterned to match the stone’s grout lines. Pretty tricky!

And it doesn’t have to be a tiled backsplash, what about architectural details like corbels or air vents? These little details make a big impact. This beautifully wood paneled lounge used corbels for the bar area. You have to look closely here, but we woodgrained them to match the bar paneling. There were outlets at the granite countertops too which we painted to blend right in.
Now, it might seem too small to matter, but to those of us who like to keep the finish uninterrupted, we can price out the outlet plates, floor or wall vents, window moldings, any little fiddly area. Let’s tidy up!
