Happy New Year! Eveyone loves the thought of a new beginning, and nothing is more fun than a nursery. These are some of my favorites.
These wall vignettes were inspired by the Pottery Barn crib bedding. Soft bunnies and chicks. The chair rail was a fun polka dot and below the chair rail we did a plaid pattern. The homeowner had us add a hot air balloon with the baby’s name on it. Apparently the hot air balloon had some family significance so it was a nice way to add a little family history to the design, making it very personal. Interior design by Phyllis Koch.
This is such a simple way to create a landscape. Blue above and green below in softly rolling hills give these African Animals someplace to frollick. Smiling heart shaped faces on the hippos, dancing zebras, and a family of elephants are great friends for the monkey and fuzzy lion.
And then there is always the accent wall. Take advantage of that wall where the crib sits to add a pop of color and pattern. We patterned this one wall with a favorite pineapple motif in soft pinks. Interior design by Liz Levin.
