NATURALLY CLASSIC COASTAL BLUES
DECEMBER 2022
That crisp blue and white stops me every time. Megan Gorelick Interiors takes that classic traditional style and pops it with the natural wood accents that speak of the sea. I can almost feel the seashells in my flip flops!
You know I love looking for beautiful rooms, like this one. Finding all the hand painted finishes that evoke that naturally classic coastal design. Wondering how I would include our artistry in the room. The blue tray is an easy place to start. I would paint the tray in a vibrant blue Shagreen Finish. What’s more ocean-like than shark skin?! The sofa table is a great Woodgrained Finish and the gold drawer pulls really make it sparkle. That giant seashell reminds me of our Troweled Stone finish which can be used on accessories like the shell, or on accent tables and even a ceiling. It’s that seashell that really brings out that beachy feel.
Although the coffee table ottoman is probably the best place to prop sandy toes, I might also try a painted table with a funky finish to bring that artful vibe into the room.
