Billet Collins creates custom painted touches that purr in the Lady’s Lounge at DC Design House for Marika Meyer Interiors.
Curating just the right personal touches can take a room from ho-hum, to a room that purrs! Finding those details can be the challenge. Billet Collins is there to answer the call with their award winning patterns and finishes.
When Marika Meyer Interiors contacted Billet Collins and asked to be wowed, the artists leaped to the challenge. “It’s pretty thrilling when a designer asks to be wowed with your designs,” says Kellie Hodges. “The designer shared that she was a Leo and that’s all it took to get our wheels turning.”
The new pattern, Guardian Lion, was custom designed and hand painted by Barbara Billet, founder of Billet Collins. The stately motif was painted with fierce and fresh colors from Sherwin Williams, chosen to coordinate with Marika’s new fabrics.
Guardian Lion can be found prowling the room, on the backs of custom playing cards and stationery. “We hope to surprise and inspire guests with design ideas for their own offices and get ready for holiday invitations” says Kellie.
Billet Collins’s specialty painting will also be featured on hand painted cocktail napkins monogrammed with “M” for Marika, custom painted game table with new Verde Bamboo finish in Sherwin Williams, Bonsai Tint, and the drop leaf secretary hand painted with linework in Sherwin Williams, Denim.
“We got an email that Guardian Lion gave the designer goose bumps. Success!” quips Kellie.
