The summer is moving towards that back-to-school excitement: new colored pencils, school shoes and backpacks. My little guy is going into 2nd grade this year! He’s looking forward to seeing his school buddies and getting back into his school routine. Honestly, I’m not ready. I like the easy play-time of summer.
Thankfully we get to work on fun projects like these that remind me of the simple days of childhood. The floorcloth was created for a kitchen runner, the two girls are going to love this!
The hand painted napkins would be terrific for the lunchbox. Wouldn’t it be cool to have a happy birthday napkin, or a Valentine’s Day napkin? I really want to do a set of these.
The Ruler Growth Chart is mine, and we use it a lot! We mark how big Ian is getting, any triumphs or lost teeth. It’s fun to go back to and remember. I made a handful of these for a school benefit. If you look closely you can see that this needs to be hung 6″ from the floor to make the measurements accurate.
Have a terrific back-to-school!
