Back at DC Design House

March 22, 2012
How flattering!  We’ve been asked to participate in FOUR rooms this year!  Wall finishes, faux marbre, painted furniture…we’re doing a nice variety of things as quickly as we can…
DC Design House opens April 14th, so we’re moving fast!  Now, maybe I shouldn’t be showing these yet, but I’m really excited about our projects this year, so I’m sharing the sample board photos with you.
Breccia Marble Finish

Once a bland wooden table, the library table is getting a facelift with plaster and paint. The table will now be a solid top and get a soft Breccia Marble Finish. Custom colors will repeat the soft blues and greys in the rug.

Italian City Scape Screen

The handpainted 6-panel screen will be a focal point to the guest bedroom, sitting behind the headboard. Painted and glazed in antique metallics, the entire screen will then be hand painted with a city scene using stencils (specially designed and cut for this project) and fine hand work.

Coral Dragged Finish

A great pop of color adds vibrant energy to the soft hues in the dining room. A good way to bring all the colors of the room together in one piece. This furniture finish is applied to the breakfront, a focal point opposite the garden doors.

Black Ripple Glazed Finish

This finish was designed to mimic the soft water scenes that Brian chose for the artwork. The sexy black colorway suggests the soft ripple of water.
